District of Sooke Economic Assessment

The District of Sooke retained Urbanics to perform an Economic Assessment of the district. This report complemented the Housing Needs Report, taking advantage of the value-added services that Urbanics can offer given the firm’s diverse expertise. The Economic Assessment took an inventory of Sooke’s employment lands and forecast demand for industrial and commercial land uses to 2036, giving low, medium, and high estimates for the required lands. Urbanics found that growth industries for focus would likely be healthcare, warehousing, wholesale trade, filming, tourism, and recreation.
