Urbanics Consultants Ltd. was commissioned by the District of Saanich to study the market opportunities for a variety of land uses that may exist at the Saanich Operations Centre. With the understanding that the District wishes to retain the vast majority of the site for District operation uses, a strategic real estate analysis was required to ascertain the market opportunities and explore the viability of development or partnership options that could provide incomes or revenues that could offset some of the costs of redevelopment of the District Operations Centre. The outputs of this market study were provided to the District’s architects and real estate team, in order to formulate a series of development program scenarios that would provide incremental income for the District, as well as provide an upgraded facility for civic works.
