Urbanics performed the market and financial feasibility studies for the Vancouver Convention Centre Expansion Project. Located on the waterfront in the heart of downtown Vancouver, the convention centre includes over 600,000 sq. ft. of convention space in addition to a range of other land uses. The study analyzed the market for retail, institutional, and entertainment land uses, as well as all waterfront commercial interests, such as the marina and floating restaurants. Urbanics also assisted with the creation of a development program that included an exciting waterfront-related festive “people place”. In addition to the research and development activities, Urbanics led the program of soliciting third-party investments and joint-venture lease program for the non-convention facilities.
