V. Philip Boname

Urbanics is saddened to note the recent passing of our founder and chairman Phil Boname. Philip is the driving force behind the development and growth of Urbanics Consultants Ltd. He has more than 48 years of professional experience in a wide variety of studies related to commercial and residential market feasibility, urban development and transit-oriented developments. In addition, he has extensive experience in conducting financial feasibility studies, economic impact assessments and downtown revitalization studies.
Claire McQuarrie-Jones, MCIP, RPP
Senior Vice President
Claire specializes in conducting revitalization studies, specialty retail studies, land use marketability and economic impact studies for residential, resort and retail land uses. She is also proficient in survey development and qualitative analysis. Claire is a graduate of the Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning program from Ryerson University, Toronto as well as the Bachelor of Environmental Studies program from York University, Toronto.
Brendan Dawe
Vice President, Housing & Economics
Brendan has extensive experience in urban planning and market analytics, with an emphasis on evolving developments in housing and land use policy in British Columbia. He has contributed greatly to market and economic studies for housing, industrial, institutional and commercial development, as well as conducting extensive urban planning studies for governments across Western Canada. Brendan is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Saman Brar
Coordinator
Saman is an aspiring professional with a keen interest in urban planning, land-use policies, and development. She is dedicated to sustainability and the creation of environments that harmonize economic growth with social equity. Her experience includes contributions to housing needs assessments, which have provided her with valuable insights into the intricate challenges of urban planning. Saman earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Policy Studies from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and is presently pursuing a Diploma of Urban Land Economics (DULE) at the University of British Columbia.
